Junior High Summer Updates

Dear Junior High Parents,

I hope that you are having a great summer along with your children!  We have been preparing for their return throughout the summer and are looking forward to welcoming them back to school in a few weeks.
In August, you will be receiving information on orientation, our trip to Camp Stone on September 4th, Powerschool and Schoology logins, and your child’s courses. 

At this time, there are several important items to review and prepare:

1.  Junior High programming and Supply fee-due by August 8th.
Please note that this fee will also cover the expense for our trip to Camp Stone at the beginning of the year and our annual Shabbaton. 

2.  Emergency Form-due by August 8th.

3.  Judaic Book Order Form-due with payment by August 15th. 
We will be using the new “Ani Tefilla” siddur (published by Koren) during our daily minyan.  This siddur was designed to make tefilla more meaningful for young adults and will serve as a great tool to enhance our individual and communal tefillot.   Thankfully, Koren provided us with a generous discount which I have passed along to you.

4.  Athletics: All students in grades 6-8 are welcome to participate on sports teams.  To sign up for the soccer team:
            *complete the enrollment and medical form
            *submit a check for $250 to Jill Gerrick (payable to Mizrachi)
These are both due by August 8th to enable us to determine team and schedule details. We will supply you with a practice and game schedule after August 8th.

5.  Junior High Supply List and Summer Reading List (re-sent from earlier in the summer) 

6.  JH Dress Code
