Dear Lower School Parents,
I hope that you are enjoying your summer. Over the next few weeks, you will be getting information explaining everything you need to know to start the coming year smoothly.
We will not be having a specific time for supply drop off. Instead, parents are invited to assist their children in bringing in supplies during drop off or pick up on the first day of school (students will not be expected to have all of their supplies until the second day). First grade students can bring in their supplies during the first grade orientation on Friday, August 24th at 9:00 AM (more details to follow soon).
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this or other information that you receive over the course of the summer.
There is much important information to share. Click below for the following information:

I would like to celebrate my child’s birthday in school, what should I do?
Please contact one of your child’s teachers to make arrangements and a special snack can be brought in. All food should be packaged with an appropriate kosher certification or purchased from one of the local kosher establishments.
With regard to out of school birthday parties, we encourage parents to invite either 2-3 children, the entire class or all of one gender to birthday parties.
What is the Lower School’s dismissal policy?
Parents needs to fill out a dismissal and emergency forms (click here for the emergency form, click here for the dismissal form that were sent out earlier). For the children's safety, we will accept changes to the instructions on the dismissal form only until 1:00 P.M. on any given day. Of course, if there is an emergency, you may always call the office and we will assist you. We will also not accept student’s relaying dismissal messages- please call the office directly.
When will I receive report cards?
Report cards are distributed in January and June, at the conclusion of each semester. This spacing is designed to insure that you are receiving an official progress update throughout the year.
What can I send for lunch?
This year, all lunches that are sent to school should be Dairy or Pareve. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding the dairy and pareve lunches. Please include drinks for lunch as well as snacks for the morning and afternoon recess. Please do not send in any foods that needs hot water (i.e. instant soups etc.).
I am concerned about my child, who should I call?
PLEASE call us! Your child's teacher wants to hear your concerns and questions. Also, please feel comfortable to call Malkie Ginsburg any time.
Enjoy the rest of your summer.
