MISHNA BRACHOT

Chapter 4, Mishna 5

Let's talk about something having to do with Kavannah during the Amida.

Let's say someone is riding a donkey and it's time to daven.  He should get down.  However, if he can't get down, he should turn his face to the side.  If he can't even do that, he should have Kavannah that he is davening towards the Kodesh haKodashim- the Holy of Holies in the Bet haMikdash.

(By the way, the same law would apply for a horse, camel, etc.)

Why wouldn't he be able to get off the donkey???
