Chapter 2, Mishna 2
It's me! Rebbe! I'm back to discuss two separate subjects.
FIRST- I need to tell you about what is called "Bein haPerakim-between the paragraphs" with the Shema.
I say the following places are called "Bein haPerakim".:

between the first bracha before Shema and the second bracha before Shema |
|
between the second bracha and "Shema Yisrael" |
|
between the first paragraph (Shema) and the second (Vhaya Im Shamoah) |
|
between the second paragraph and the third (Vayomer) |
|
And between Vayomer and "Emet Vayetziv"---the bracha after the Shema! |
I
am Rabbi Yehuda. I say that you are not allowed to separate the end of the
last paragraph of Shema, when we say, "Ani Hashem Elokeychem" and the
beginning of the bracha when we say "Emet." We must say Hashem
and Emet (truth) together!
